The fun thing about La Bamba is that it's been sung and played in every combination possible, and it's still cool. La Bamba is a Mexican folk song that was adapted by Ritchie Valens into a rock 'n roll tune. This flute choir version is, not surprisingly, not rock 'n roll, but if you wanted one, you wouldn't look for it in a flute choir anyway. The song remains recognizable...just "fluted" up bit! It would be a good opener or encore for your group.
