All the songs of "Sacred Moments at the Piano" are original compositions based on sacred ideas which were written to be used in ecumenical settings where reverent service music is called for and desired. Some of these pieces have been featured on Dr. Stevens' recent CDs such as "Romanza of the Heart," "Winter Serenade... Come Home," and "Like a Dream Flying By." Some of these songs have never been previously released. But all fit together cohesively as a fine group of original sacred piano compositions. Stevens is a prolific composer residing in Nashville, TN where he serves as the Music Department Chairman at Welch College. He is known internationally for his choral anthems, piano arrangements/compositions, and piano improvisation workshops. Many of his recent piano pieces can be heard on Pandora Radio and Spotify.
